Unfortunately, Shasta has a taste for action figures as well. And when I say taste, I mean she enjoys pilfering them whenever she can and chewing off a hand or a foot. We have been fortunate that so far she has only escaped with the occasional generic soldier or unimportant villain. Imagine my horror when yesterday I found poor, poor spidey behind the couch missing a hand! OH NOOOO!! Zeke saw me and my panicked look and quickly came over to see what I was looking at. I was waiting for bedlam, but Zeke picked him up, looked him over and put him to the side.
Later, I was cleaning up all the figures as I do about 9 million times a day. I put them all in the basket where they live and went on about my business. I later noticed that spidey had been taken out of the basket and put to the side. So I again find myself cleaning up the figures and just as before I see spidey laying off to the side all alone. Finally, the last time I cleaned them up Zeke told me, "Mom you can't put spi.der.man back in here, he is broke, we hafta get a new one, OK?" I finally realized that he has been banned and deemed a misfit because of his missing hand!! So, I am in the hunt for a new one. I normally do not replace every broken toy but I guess I better find a new spidey, and I already told Zeke we could.
We looked at the store today but could find one......that is actually when bedlam broke out. I will save that story for another day and title it, "What to do when your kid won't quit screaming and crying and thrashing around in the store while everyone stares at you." Ha ha ha -- that boy is something else!! Not to worry though, I will find another one, even if I have to order it of the Internet and pay just as much for the shipping as I do the toy. I will because those are the kinds of things you do for your kids!
