Since we were going to the doctor anyway for Shiloh, I decided to schedule Zayne to have the huge wart removed from his foot. It had been starting to bother him and was hurting anytime his foot bumped anything. Why I thought this would be a good idea is a mystery. Thankfully Toni volunteered to go with us. It was a good thing because she took a screaming Shiloh while I went with Zayne to have his wart removed. Since Shiloh went first, Zayne had a lot of time to think about his upcoming ordeal and what it would entail. He is the one who said he was going to have a "bewarting" instead of a "beheading"!! Although he was a bit nervous he was brave and did not cry one bit! She first gave him a shot in and around the wart to deaden the area. This was the painful part Zayne said. She then took a circle shaped blade and dug out the wart. This was the part that was disgusting!! She cut two big chunks of wart out. It bled and bled. Then she cauterized the area to create a scab and kill off any remaining part of the wart. Zayne came through like a champ but has been a little sore today. Now the challenge becomes keeping him from picking at it and actually wearing shoes when he goes outside. Because I knew that everyone would want to see what this looked like, I snapped a picture of it when we changed the bandage.
Both of them glad to be home!
That is really gross! When I was about his age, my feet got warts too, on my heels. I had to walk and run on my toes because they hurt so bad! I never got them dug out tho, I did it myself! No one believe me about how bad they hurt and would never take me to the Dr! :( I am glad his is gone and hope it heels up good! Shiloh is so cute! She looks alot like Zeke!
