Easy to Please

Every night after supper the boys always want dessert. Sometime "dessert" consists of a chocolate kiss, a rice kr.ispie treat, ice cream, or maybe a cookie. Anything sweet will do. Especially Zeke, he never lets me forget dessert. I have actually gotten him to eat many things that he would not normally try with the promise of dessert. You see, I am not above bribery in certain cases! So while at the grocery store this week, I decided to get some chocolate pudding mix, something that I do not get regularly. I made it tonight about 2:30 while Shiloh was napping in anticipation of needing a dessert for the kids. It took a total of 5 minutes. Add cold milk, whisk, pour into serving bowls, and stick in the fridge. Easy, easy! I had some strawberries so I decided to cut one and fan it out on the top of the pudding. After everyone ate their fill at supper I got out the pudding and you would have thought I had just hung the moon! Zayne said, "Oh my gosh mom, that looks soooo good. Like Rach.eal.Ray made it." Zeke was just squealing with delight. They were so excited over boxed pudding that they couldn't quit talking about it! It was so funny. In my head I was thinking, "Way to go me!" I love it when something so easy and simple can bring such pleasure. May they always be that easy to please! Somehow I don't think that will always be the case so I will enjoy it while it lasts!
